Fairfield Machine offers the services of a fully operational commercial machine shop.

Our specialty is the precision machining of low volume large parts.

Most of our customers are equipment manufacturers. They rely on Fairfield for precision machining of large components to exacting specifications.

Planer Mills
Three mills, each with 84″ between columns; up to 84″ under rail, up to 32′ table; digital readouts on all four heads
Horizontal Boring Mills
Five mills, up to 109″ table travel, 72″ vertical travel; digital & CNC; up to .0002″ resolution
Lathes
Four machines—two engine lathes up to 24″ swing; up to 12′ between centers; vertical turret—64″ maximum swing; CNC—turning length to 16″
Inspection Equipment
Granite table; gages and blocks; layout table; temperature measuring; sound measuring; laser leveling; precision transit; hardness tester; micro flat; all gages traceable to NIST
